This is our first year of homeschooling high school, and I won’t lie, some days I feel like I’m in way over my head!
As a homeschooling parent, I naturally worry about my ability to give both of my boys everything the need to succeed in high school and beyond. There’s a big world out there and lots they need to know. Am I enough?
It’s a question I think every homeschooling parent has asked themselves at one point or another. The answer for me? No. I’m not enough.
Homeschooling my children through high school means I’m going to have to pull all of my resources! It means I’m going to have to get creative in the way I teach and the resources I use to do so.
But, isn’t it great that we live in an age where there are so many options for homeschooling families? Giving my children everything they need will require creativity and commitment, but I believe it’s possible!
One resource I’m thrilled to have is online math lessons from Uzinggo.
Last year, we tried online classes for a couple of subjects and they went really well! My son works perfectly in this type of setting and I know I can tap into Uzinggo’s online math lessons for added algebra support for him.
What I love most about Uzinggo is the quality of the video lessons. Each lesson is visual, interactive, and multi-sensory. Love it!
The lessons bring a concept like linear equations to life in a way that makes it easy for a student to retain. It’s a nice break from the textbook!
Compared to his regular DVD instruction and workbook, these videos are entertaining!
Using an online math curriculum for tutoring takes some of the pressure off of me as the parent/teacher and enables me to provide my child with the instruction he needs in a way I would not be able to accomplish on my own.
Uzinggo provides high quality, digital instruction that engages the student and helps them see math in a fresh way. I love that!
The best part?
I can track his progress with Uzinggo’s reports, print activity sheets for additional practice, and even set customized goals for him. These lessons are the perfect supplement to our current curriculum and will make our 9th grade year a little brighter!
Uzinggo is offering my readers a 20% discount off annual subscriptions with promo code HOLIDAY20 (note: case-sensitive). Coupon can be used through Dec. 31, 2013. Valid only for annual subscriptions.
